DeBono's Thinking Hat

Now a days there are a lot of changes in the way people think. This is mainly due to the development of technology and globalisation. This has affect on not only thinking but also on the ways of teaching. The Six Thinking Hats is developed by  Edward de Bono, which is one of the best thinking strategies so far. It is not only best, it also earliest one in helping children to organise and share their thoughts in different ways. Edward de Bonoas has written 62 books which are translated into 37 languages. In the field of creative thinking and teaching thinking as a skill his contributions are appreciated by many leading authorities.

The colours of hats in the Six Thinking Hats are White, Red, Black, Yellow, Green and Blue. Each colour indicates a way of thinking. White about information available and needed, Red about intuition feelings and hunches, Black about cautions, differences and where things may go wrong, Yellow about values & benefits why something might work, Green about alternatives and creative ideas and finally blue about managing the thinking process.
