SWOT analysis for using Google Docs in teaching and learning

Now a day’s everyone has a Google account. Google Docs is a product of Google. It allows to people to create and share documents online. These documents include word documents, spreadsheets, and presentations and so on. This feature allows students to open their documents when ever and where ever they want. They can even edit Microsoft word documents online without using Microsoft word.
Strengths
- Google is well known search engine, hence its reputation.
- There are a wide range of services provided along with Google Docs.
- Its fastest and good way of storing and sharing documents.
Weaknesses
- Cannot be assessed without internet connection.
- Cannot access previous versions of the work.
- Need to know proper navigation through the site for cresting or editing documents.
- Not all types of documents can be used in Google docs.
Opportunities
- Can be used for storing important documents.
- Real time files sharing and collaborating.
Threats
- The quality of the document can be changed when it is edited in Google Docs.
- There are many other file sharing websites available.
If I am a teacher I recommend all my students to have their important documents or assessment documents in Google Docs as they can be safe there and students can used then when ever and where ever they want them.
